Cancellation policy

We strongly advise our tenants to ensure they have appropriate insurance to meet the cost of cancellation of a booking made with us.

Cancelling 57 days or more in advance of the start date

Your deposit of thirty per cent of the total rental is non-returnable once we have confirmed the booking, so if you notify us that you wish to cancel your booking 57 days or more in advance of the start date, we will retain the deposit.

Cancelling 56 days or less in advance of the start date

If you notify us that you wish to cancel the booking 56 days or less before the start date, you remain liable for the full rental. We will only pay a refund if we have actually let Lantern Cross to another tenant for all or part of the Rental Period. We will retain thirty per cent. of the full rental but will refund the lesser of:

The balance of the rent actually received from the Tenant; and
The excess, if any, of the rent actually received from the new tenant, net of any advertising expenses or commissions specifically incurred in respect of the new tenancy, over thirty per cent. of the full rental.

Our right to cancel if the balance of rent is overdue by more than 7 days

We reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and seek to re-let Lantern Cross if the full balance of the rent has not been paid by 49 days before the start date of the tenancy.
